🚀 What made you decide to start your own business? I was born with an entrepreneurial spirit. One of my earliest memories was selling lemonade at age 4. The urge to have my own business was always there. Eventually I would go on to realize my innate dream.☀️ What gets you excited to get out of bed in the morning?I love helping people get where they dream to go. If I’m able to help a team get along and create a work environment that gets them excited to get out of bed in the morning, then that’s total joy and fulfillment for me.🏆 What was the most challenging time(s) in your business and how did you overcome it?
The first two years were my biggest challenge — attracting the right clients and sustaining myself off of my business’ revenue. Luckily, I’m a planner and I had saved 2 years of cushion.
Currently, my biggest challenge is hiring more people to get to that next level.👭🏾 What advice would you give to a fellow black woman entrepreneur just starting out?Get really connected to your why, because when things get rough that is the thing that will sustain you. And there is no shame in asking for help.
💪🏾 What would you do if you weren't scared?
Fear is what kept me from starting my business, but I’ve worked with mindset coaches to help me reframe the little voice in my head. Aside from that, I would live abroad for a while.🤯 What would shock most people to learn about you?
A lot of people think I’m serious when they meet me professionally, but I have this fun, party side that takes me to Trinidad Carnival every year. I like to be in full costume with feathers and all just having a great time. If it’s not fun, I don’t want anything to do with it (applies to work as well).✨ What excites you the most about the future?
I’m really excited about hiring a team and the collaboration that comes with it. I’m also excited about having a more expansive reach and impact.💃🏾 What is your superpower?
