🦩 Nailing Your Brand Messaging

To build on last week's topic Brand Positioning, today we're talking about Brand Messaging. This is one of the most important things to figure out to build a strong foundation for your brand. It's also one of the hardest things to nail down. If you get this wrong, your brand will be confusing and lose its power. Here are the 7 key elements to FLAMTASTIC brand messaging:

1. 🖊️ Tagline: A short and memorable phrase (5-7 words max) that embodies the essence of your brand and aligns with your brand's culture. Examples of iconic taglines include Nike's "Just Do It" and Apple's "Think Different."

2. 🛗 Elevator Pitch: A 30-second introduction to your company, who you serve, and how your brand solves your audience's problems.

3. 🚨 Unique Selling Proposition (USP): A specific, compelling statement that immediately differentiates you from your competition and tells your target audience what you uniquely do best.

4. 🚀 Purpose: A concise statement that states why your brand exists beyond making money.

5. 🙏 Promise: An experience or value that your audience can expect every time they engage with your brand.

6. 🧭 Vision: An up to 20-word aspirational statement that clearly communicates your brand's desired future or impact.

7. 🫶 Values: The core beliefs that your brand is committed to.
