1 year ago, we started Captiva because we saw a need for people to simplify, clarify, and amplify their brand.
We found that some companies knew WHAT they should be doing, but they didn’t know HOW to do it.
This was agolden opportunity to combine our experience and build an agency that was true to who we are and our values. (Thanks to Pam’s hubby for giving us the vote of confidence and push we needed to say YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!)

🤓 Curiosity. Staying curious keeps us interested AND interesting (thanks to our client, Claudia Cauterucci, for this tip). Our approach to work and life is to have an open mindset and follow the ABCs = Always Be Curious. We ignite each other’s intellectual curiosity with humility and kindness. Our inspiration comes from consuming A LOT of content.
💪 Consistency. Our weekly newsletter, blog, and social media posts are a way to keep our thinking and our pens sharp. By doing something over and over again, we learn, course correct, adapt, and create something better. It’s not easy building the habit of curating, creating, publishing, and sharing it but the feeling and results are worth it!
👯♀️ Connection. We are in the human-to-human business. As empaths, we use our superpower to authentically communicate and connect with each other, our partners, our clients (and their audience) by giving a d*mn. Yup, when we say we champion our clients’ businesses and causes as if they were our own, we mean it and live it!
PRO TIP: Want to increase your empathy and connection? Do a 2-word check-in everyday with your team and clients. It helps set the tone and expectations for the meeting by showing you care about them, not just the projects.
