🦩Your website essentials

Continuing our interview with rockstar mompreneur and flamiga, Trecia Warnholz of District Digital, we're covering website integrations and plugins.

Check out part 2 of our interview below:

Why should you care?
Because all websites need integrations and plugins to make it easier to collect data, track performance, improve user experience, and connect with your prospects. Best of all, most of these are F R E E! What integrations do most businesses need?
Contact Form. If there's one thing EVERY website needs, it's a way for visitors to contact you. Make sure to connect it to your email platform to automate lead collection and trigger your welcome series (e.g., MailChimp, MailerLite, HubSpot, etc.)

Google Maps. This is an easy yet often overlooked way to improve your SEO to help you grab more local traffic. Location, location, location.

Social Media. It's 2022 and nearly every business has a social media account, albeit they may not be active *cough*. Remember to only link your social media icons in the footer (NOT your top navigation bar, that's a no-no).

What are the most popular plugins and what are they for?
Plugins help your website be more efficient. Top plugins for WordPress include:

Google Site Kit – Set up Google dashboard right in WP to get a full picture of what's happening on your website.

Sucuri or Wordfence Security – Don't be vulnerable to hacker break-ins. Attack-proof your site to block spam requests or cyberattacks. Akismet is another good one to prevent spam.

WPoptimize or NitroPack– Nobody likes a slow website so use this to boost loading speed.

Auditing Log – If you have several people working on your site, this helps to keeps a log of all the changes each person makes on your site.

Yoast SEO or AIOSEO – Simple SEO recos that guide you how to craft your page title, meta description, and other elements.

OptinMonster – This conversion optimization toolkit is essential if you want to capture more leads, increase conversions, and reduce cart abandonment. It makes A/B split testing a breeze.
