🦩 To blog or not to blog

Updated: Dec 8, 2021

If you’ve been curious about blogging, i.e. your content engine, this week’s post is for you.

First, you may be wondering: Do I really need to blog?

And the answer is... (drumroll 🥁 please)

Here are top 7 reasons why you should be blogging:
  1. Drives your content marketing strategy.

  2. Supports your website, social media, and email content.

  3. Helps position you as an expert in your industry.

  4. Showcases your brand personality by sharing your thoughts, opinions, passions, and stories.

  5. Builds a connection and trust with your audience.

  6. Strategically promotes your product or services (without being sales-y).

  7. Increases web traffic, helps with SEO, and link building (when other websites link back to your website and help you rank higher on search engines).

What about frequency?

The great thing about blogging is that you can post as little or often as you want. What matters here is consistency (pick a day and stick with it) and adding value (make it worth your reader's time).

If you are a small business, with a small team (like us), our recommendation is to start with 1-2x / month and increase to 1x / week after 3 months.

Like many things in marketing, here's the paradox: It’s a lot easier than it seems, and a lot harder than it looks.

However, the rewards are worth your time, energy, and creativity. And the more you do it, the easier it gets. We pinky promise.
